Now, Place 4 aces in a center row, put 6 cards on each side of each ace., and move cards to build descending stacks on sides. 5. Fort Thives ( Chaalis Chaur )

Chalis Chaur or Forty Thieves is a popular single-player card game variation in the Indian Subcontinent. To play this game, you need a standard 52-card deck, shuffle it, and deal 4 rows of 10 face-up cards, with a slight overlap. The remaining cards are now treasure decks you’ll use to progress. Your goal is to build 8 foundation piles, two for each suit, starting from ace to ending with king. You can only draw one card from the draw deck at a time. You’ll emerge victorious once all the piles are completed in proper order or ranking system.

6. Napoleon at Saint Helena

Who better to accompany than one and only Napolran Bonaparte on your solo card game journey? Napoleon was known for his love of card games, like what else what else would you even do back then if you were not fighting a war. Jokes apart, you need two complete decks, and your aim is to build eight foundation piles from Ace to King, moving only one card at a time.

7. Hope Deferred

Hope Deferred is a well-known and quite convenient to play single player card game that is played using a special small deck of 32 cards. For making this deck, you have to take a regular 52 standard stack and remove all cards from 2 to 6, leaving only 7 through Ace in each suit. The main goal is to get rid of all the clubs. Lay out three cards face-up. If you see any clubs, throw them. Keep repeating this process till you’ve got five rows of three cards each. Always throw/discard the clubs when they show up. After you’ve dealt with all five rows, pick up what’s left, shuffle, and repeat the process. You get three chances to get this right - deal, shuffle, repeat, and same twice more. If you’ve managed to kick out all the clubs by the end, you’ve won. It’s a neat little time-killer that mixes a bit of strategy with good old-fashioned luck.

8. The Idiot

The Idiot is a bit lesser-known but fun variation of single-player card games. This Swedish card game, which shares its name with a famous Russian novel, is straightforward but tricky. You’ll need four decks to get started. Here’s how it goes: Take one card from each deck and lay it out. Now remove the lowest visible card from each suit till only 1 card is left per suit. Now put four new cards, and repeat it until you run out of cards from the deck piles. Your end goal is to bring the Ace card to the bottom of each pile.

9. Wish

This is one of the most chill and easy variations of single-player card games. To get started, you have to all cards with 2,3,4,5 & 6 numbers. Now make eight different stacks consisting of four cards each. Take the topmost card and turn it around, if you see any matching number pair, remove it. Repeat the same process, till every stack runs out of cards. The game is all about luck and is quite easy to learn.

10. Accordion

Accordion is a simple single-player card game where your goal is to arrange all 52 standard deck cards in a single and sorted pile. You have to spread the cards in front of you in big single row and match them. Matching can be done based either on the suit type or clause of the card. The catch is, that only the most recent card must be matched, either with a card just left to it or the third one in the same left direction. Keep doing it till you don’t have any cards left to match.
